Welcome to AELP's Spring Conference 2018

The AELP Spring Conference takes place just before National Apprenticeship Week 2018 and almost a year after the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy. It’s an ideal time to take stock of how the reforms are progressing and identify new opportunities emerging from the policymaking pipeline. At the same time, implementation of the T Level reforms is starting to gather momentum.

*Despite the anticipated bad weather on Wednesday, 28 February the Spring Conference will still be going ahead*

There will be workshops on funding, end point assessment, English and maths, higher and degree apprenticeships, subcontracting and others that are related.

We will be repeating the successful format of last year when apart from a brief introduction and general policy update to welcome delegates, the event will offer a series of workshops across one day to enable providers to drill down into subjects that offer growth opportunities.

24 different workshops mean that there will be something for everyone. As well as the apprenticeship reforms, they look at Ofsted inspections, Teach Too, SEND, Employability, T Levels and a range of other topical subjects.

Conference App Notification
AELP are pleased to unveil our new Conference App which is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Once you have downloaded the App it will automatically be updated for future conferences (only) so it will not be necessary to download it each time you attend another AELP conference.

The App has been designed to replace physical delegate packs so these will no longer be provided at our large conferences. However, it will still provide all the information you require including; the agenda, speaker profiles, workshops and facilitators information, floor plans, details on our exhibitors and sponsors and any advanced workshop selections. There are many additional features too which you may find of use including the option to capture interactions with other delegates or with exhibitors. The App will also be used to gather your feedback.

If you do not have a compatible (Apple or Android) smartphone or tablet, please let us know well in advance of the conference so we may consider alternatives for you.

The workshop presenters will be a great mix of frontline programme deliverers and officials from government departments and agencies.

Delegates will be guaranteed top tips and the most up-to-date information on each topic to support their strategic planning.

With 4 workshop sessions, covering 24 different workshop topics, each delegate will be able to attend up to 4 workshops each. However, bring along additional attendees from your organisation to take advantage of the number of workshops offered and benefit from our special offer of 'Buy two places, get one free'.

Our Spring Conference is happening during the most far-reaching set of reforms that the skills sector has faced for years. Growth opportunities are on offer but risk needs to be minimised too. By attending this event, you will come away confident that you are able to tackle both!
